Decreasing fugitive dust through translation of scientific research to real world application
Mission
The AV Dust Control Group is a growing non-profit organization located in Southern California. It is operated by a group of expert scientists, business managers and subject matter experts with 15 years of experience in wind erosion field studies performed in the Antelope Valley and over 50 years of combined experience in test method development, field characterization of open ground-level sources of air pollutants, and hands-on experience with effects of fugitive sand and dust.
We are proud to offer timely, practical, science-based solutions to complex problems related to dust control planning and abatement and mitigation of wind erosion and related fugitive dust.
Based in the northwest corner of the Mojave Desert in Antelope Acres, CA., the AV Dust Control Group is proud to be right in the heart of the utility scale renewable energy production capital of the world.
Dust control planning must preclude soil disturbances in areas where soil is sandy, during times of drought, and in areas known to experience high winds to prevent potentially hazardous wind-blown fugitive dust.
